An Nur Islamic Academy is organized exclusively for charitable work, community services, public Islamic events, youth development and education empowerment.

Vision: To develop and train learners to become representatives of truth and to produce leaders for the service of mankind.

Mission: To create and sustain a multi ethnic tolerant and culturally diverse community of students, parents, concerned supporters and staff, through fostering a network of community service, all around education and highest level of character building by using the core knowledge curriculum and direct instruction. The purpose of this corporation is:

  • To support and conduct non-partisan research, education, and informational activities
  • To increase public awareness of juvenile delinquency
  • To prevent community deterioration
  • To provide sound Islamic education

Departments

The biggest concern of Muslim parents is, “how is my child being brought up?” Having Islam instilled into the lives of our children begins at their very early age.

An Nur Islamic Academy offers a warm, friendly, nuturing and safe environment for your children to flourish in an Islamic environment.

An Nur Islamic Academy Preschool operates from Monday through Thursday from 8:30am – 1:30pm and on Fridays 8:30am – 11:30am.

An Nur Islamic Academy Primary School nurtures children from Standard One (1) to Standard Five (5) in an Islamic environment.

Classes for the Primary School are conducted from Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-3:00pm and Friday from 8:00am – 11:45pm

Our Part-Time programmes includes:

Quran Reading Classes: Learn to Recite Quran with Tajweed. Part Time Quran Reading Classes Co-ordinator: Hafiz Fareed Mohammed – Mobile # +1 (868) 295-7142

Arabic Language Classes: Learn to speak Arabic Language with experienced Shuyookh Qualified from the University of Madina.

Our Hifz Programme trains students to memorise the entire Quran with Tajweed and to retain it for the rest of their lives.

The Hifz Programme operates on Monday through Thursday from 7:30am – 1:00pm and on Friday from 7:30am – 11:30am.

Our Imaamat Programme educate learners in the field of Islamic theology. In the Imaamat Programme students will develop the understanding of Arabic Language, Quran Reading with Tajweed, Laws of Tajweed, Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh), Islamic beliefs (Aqidah), Islamic history (Seerah), Hadith (Sayings of the Prophet ص).

Classes for the Imaamat Programme are conducted from Monday through Thursday from 8:00am-3:00pm and Friday from 8:00am – 11:45pm.

Our Sanatain course offers subjects such as:

Arabic Language (which is then broken down into various subjects such as Sarf, Nahw and Adab), Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence), Seerah (Islamic History), Quran/Tajweed (fluent recitation of Quran), Sunnah Practices, Hadith (sayings of the prophet (S), Tafseer (commentary of Quran) and more. This is a 2 year programme which is  conducted on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

Students must be 16 years and over and must be proficient in the English Language and reading quraan.
